My Goals 2019

New Year new Goals. Like every year, I wrote down my good resolves for the new year.

My Goals for 2019

I do believe in self-improvement and I do believe in goal setting for the New Year to become the best version of myself. What do you think? Do you believe in New Year’s resolutions and Goals?

 Goal Review 2018

I’m dreading this. I don’t think I was very successful last year. But let’s see.

What were my goals in 2018?

My goals of 2018 were:

  • Health and Fitness
  • Fun and Creativity
  • Personal Development

First of all, I wanted to become fitter and more healthy. Yes, it would have been great to lose 5 Kilo, but that was not the main goal, more a way to reach the goal itself. And I wanted to do Sports, minimum once a week and eat healthily.

The Blog was a focus point, my creative outlet. I wanted to put out more content on a more regular basis.

And last but not least I wanted to focus more on myself and my own needs. Self-Care but also self-confident. I am a nice person and I care a lot about other people. But I experience a lot, that cause I take so much caution that everyone around me feels comfortable, people tend to think they can do treat me like second best.  But maybe it is upon me to make sure, that everyone knows, what I want.

Did I reach my goals?

Surprise, Surprise. Altogether I was better than I thought. I did more sports, I went to Weight Watchers and lost weight. And I did voice my needs. I had a lot of fun, creating my own inserts, doing art journaling and trying out different planner systems. But of course, I neglected my blog and gained five kilos in the second half of 2018 due to much stress and unhealthy eating.

So I was not perfect, but not that bad either.

What can I do better? What should I keep?

Every week I wrote down my goals to keep myself focused. That helped a lot. And I knew which kind of activities I had to do, to reach my goals, for example, to go to the weight watcher meetings.

On the other hand, I was not consequent enough and I’ve let my job take over my life, again.

Goal Setting for 2019

I think it is important to write down one’s goals to reach them. That’s why I keep a Memory Journal and a Vision Board for example. My five Goals for 2019 are:

  1. Personal Development: I want to be a friend of my own needs. Very often my inner voice is my worst enemy. I’m so self-critical. I would never treat my friends the way I sometimes treat myself. Therefore from now on, I want to become my own best friend and take better care of myself.
  2. Health and Fitness: I want to be healthy and feel sexy. Yes, here I go again.
  3. Fun and Creativity: I want to open a Planner Shop
  4. Finance: I want to reduce the amount of money that I spend on unnecessary things, instead I want to appreciate all the things I already own
By the way, this is the goals page from my own “Happy Planner” Insert.

And d0 you want to know, how I want to reach my goals? My Planner is an essential part of me reaching my goals, therefore, you should read my post about my Planner Setup for 2019.

What are your goals for 2019? Where you happy with 2018? What worked for you? What can we all do better?
